Hey People,
we have acquired 3 acres plus four outbuildings in west Waterford this week. Its confirmed - we are looking to raise funds to buy another 10 acres of holding land for the horses. We will commence our plans for the renovations and design of the housing and retreat centre next year.
Its an exciting time as we will be bringing a multiple amount of systems to our work!
Including: Equine massage, equine bodywork therapy, natural horsemanship, Equine Touch, Equine Chinese Massage.
In addition for riders: Tui Na (Chinese Bodywork Therapy) , Acupuncture, Spinal Re-Balancing, Core Strength training, Herbal Preparations, training in natural horsemanship.
Stay posted....we will put up some pictures of the land...

Equine Massage coming to Ireland
Hey Horse Lovers!

Well now it is coming to Ireland, courtesy of Shanto Ireland.........
I will be putting details for the courses in June 2009 - it will be a two day workshop for those wishing to get those vital techniques to enable their horse to perform better, loosen the neck, poll area, the spine and the shoulders.
Plus many many more techniques will be jam packed into the intro course....

Shanto Logo is born
Hi Guys,
we have nearly secured the land and we are only moments away now from signing the contract to secure us 4 outbuildings and 3 acres of land in a secret location in Ireland.
In addition we have finalised the logo to used for our new website, marketing and business merchandise.
I was thinking of posting up an image of the logo here.

Initial Review of Pat Parelli
Hi Guys,
my wife and I sat down this evening and spent some quality time together working on reading and breaking down Pat Parelli's system - he calls it Natural Horse Man Ship.
Our intial thoughts are that in his book he has decided to take certain elements and break them down into numbered lists of items to remember ; with each list relating to a particular attitude or technique/skill, to what he terms as the 'The Six Keys'. What is interesting to note - is that he has a very 'Natural' style of writing and is very good as describing specific elements of his system. However there are times he gets a little technical - which is okay of you know Parelli....He also has these little terms...sort of Parelliism's for want of a better word...which makes the reading more captivating...
One thing is for sure - he has given some people in the horseworld a run for their money and if one thing is for certain - his marketing campaigns are top notch....
My wife and I will 'digest' more of his work in the coming days and I will post more about his book
titled - 'Natural Horse-Man-Ship'
It's worth a read......he is the technical man by all accounts. In the meantime I am looking as some of Mark Rashid's work also - he is the spiritual man by the looks of it so far...but lets see....
Oh yes....one more thing...I met up with a friend of mine from Italy...Astrid Gambertone, she has been over to Ireland a couple of times this month working as a rep for Tattersalls.....I met her recently at a Masterson Method Clinic in the UK..we had a great chat and I hope to see her again....more news to follow about a Tui Na class for equine rehab I think...
Also I am bringing Jim Masterson ( MastersonMethod) over to Ireland to teach his system of Equine Massage - please reply to this blog if you have any interests or want to know more..
